Four players graduate to Gloucester Rugby senior academy

Gloucester Rugby is delighted to announce that four players have graduated into the senior academy. Tom Riman, Will Gilderson, Keillen Cullen and Henry Pearson have all signed academy contracts to join the Gloucester Rugby Academy on a full time basis.

 

Tom Riman

Position: Centre

School: Cheltenham College

Junior Club: Witney RFC

Tom Riman joined the Gloucester Academy Pathway at 14 years old on the DPP whilst at Cokethorpe School in our Oxfordshire catchment area. Tom later joined Will Gilderson at Cheltenham College at 16 and as a rangy athletic centre went on to showcase his talents both for College & Gloucester Rugby in the Academy League scoring an exceptional individual effort vs Exeter Chiefs.

 

Will Gilderson

Position: Full Back/Wing

Junior Club: Evesham RFC

Will joined the Gloucester Rugby Academy Pathway at 16, going on to represent England U18 this season scoring 2 trys on debut against Italy. An explosive counter attacking fullback who has developed a long range kicking game. Will, as does Tom, follows in the recent Cheltenham College footsteps of Ollie Thorley, Jack Clement, Louis Hillman-Cooper & Seb Blake, under the tutelage of former Gloucester Rugby player Olly Morgan.

 

Keillen Cullen

Position: Fly Half

School: Hartpury College

Junior Club: Bonymaen Rugby Club

Keillen Cullen, as fly half was an integral part of this season’s Hartpury College Under 18 ACE Championship that went on to dominate the competition, picking up the man of the match award in the final. Keillen joined the Pathway at 17 and has an exceptional well rounded kicking game that he consistently showcased in the U18 Premiership Academy League for Gloucester.

 

Henry Pearson

Position: Tight Head Prop

School: Hartpury College

Junior Club: Chinnor RFC

First identified in West Oxfordshire whilst playing Oxfordshire County Rugby, ball playing prop Henry Pearson then joined up with the Gloucester Rugby Pathway & Hartpury College at 16 with lifelong Gloucester fans for grandparents making the move easier. Henry was also a key member of the Hartpury College Under 18 ACE team that went on to win the RFU ACE League Championship this season.
