Gloucester Rugby host Saracens in the Challenge Cup quarter-final on Friday and Head Coach George Skivington is looking forward to the fixture.
On the Bath win
“You’ve got to move on quickly whether you win or lose. We enjoyed the moment but from a coaches point of view, by Sunday morning I’ve moved on and it was all about getting ready for Saracens.
“The players get a little bit longer to enjoy their hard work but they came in on Monday and they had to be ready to go and be ready for the challenge ahead."
On the team performance
“We’ve developed a couple of areas of our game recently and we’ve had a couple of tricky games. We just went back to basics and we trained how we usually trained and I thought that the boys played some really good rugby. They stuck together for 80 minutes. To nil anyone in the Premiership is a very big deal and I was very pleased with that."
On the quarter-final at Kingsholm
“We’re really looking forward to it. The atmosphere last weekend was unbelievable. The voices and the shouting and the pre and post match stuff, it was unbelievable. It was a big occasion for all of the supporters and I think they were grateful for what the boys delivered and the boys are always grateful for the noise that is made and everybody who comes.
“We’re looking forward to more of the same again here on Friday night. Hopefully we get as many bodies in as we can and the cheers will be loud and we can give everyone something to enjoy.
“It’s really exciting and it’s nice to have some back to back games at Kingsholm.”
Building on Bath win
“We can take some confidence from the bits that worked against Bath but I think we know where we’re at as a team. We’re trying to push forward as fast and efficiently as we can. We’re pretty confident in our processes and we’re confident in what works for us and what doesn’t.
“The focus is on Saracens.”
