Gloucester-Hartpury started strongly with Bethan Lewis opening the game with an interception try under the posts. However, discipline let the hosts down with scrum half Bianca Blackburn being sent to the bin. Sharks capitalised on having an extra player with Hannah Field going over and levelling the score, shortly followed by Laura Perrin going over for the second and putting the visitors in lead at the break.
After the break a penalty kick by Daisy Fahey helped close the gap making the score 10-14. It wasn’t until Hannah Jones found the white-wash and a great conversion kick by Daisy Fahey that settled the victory. Neither side could add to the score with frustration growing and penalty count mounting up. In the final minutes of the game Kelly Smith was sent to the bin and the final whistle blew shortly after.
