Gloucester-Hartpury welcome back internationals for visit of DMP Sharks
Looking to bounce back from last week’s defeat at Wasps, Head Coach Susie Appleby is able to name a host of players who were absent on international duty as Gloucester-Hartpury Women host Darlington Mowden Park Sharks in the Tyrrells Premier 15s on Saturday (kick off 16:30, Gillman’s Ground).

Returning to the squad are skipper Zoe Aldcroft, Kelly Smith and Millie Wood who were away with England last weekend.

Meanwhile Sasha Acheson and Shauna Bennett, who both featured for the National Academy on the Wednesday before the Wasps game, will both have benefitted from not playing midweek this week.

Gloucester-Hartpury won 57-14 at the Northern Echo Arena in week two of the current season, but Head Coach Susie Appleby is expecting a tough game tomorrow.

“We are all very disappointed by our lack of performance at Wasps last week. We created opportunities but we cannot make that many mistakes against any side in this league. We are hoping our returning International players can bring back the form they showed in the Autumn series to the club.

“DMP are a very good side who cannot be underestimated. As we begin the second half of the season, we can’t wait to get back out there and show people what GH is really made of!”
