Gloucester-Hartpury Women name side for visit of DMP Sharks
This weekend sees the return of the Tyrrells Premier 15s with Gloucester-Hartpury Women entertaining Darlington Mowden Park Sharks at the Alpas Arena on Saturday afternoon (kick off 2:30pm).

The Tyrrells Premier 15s has taken a break over the past few weeks while the Autumn internationals have taken place, and Head Coach Susie Appleby is able to call upon a number of internationals including skipper Mo Hunt who won her 50th cap for England last weekend.

Compared to the team that started at Saracens last time out at the end of October, there are just two changes to the back line – Rachel Lund coming in for Millie Wood in the midfield and Hunt replacing Meg Davies at scrum-half.

There is a similar look to the pack as well. Erica Mills moves from the second row to the blindside with Gurpreet starting alongside Zoe Aldcroft at lock. Mills takes the place of the injured Tabs Copson in the back row.

Head Coach Susie Appleby said this weekend that the whole squad is itching to get back into action:

“Everybody is extremely excited to get back on the field. We have had lots of players away on international duty and the challenge on Saturday is to get back to our patterns as quickly as possible.

“Gurpreet and Lundy have both been really impressive off the bench and deserve their starts. Erica’s most natural position is 6 so she moves out to replace the injured Tabitha Copson.

“DMP are having their best season to date, they have recruited smartly from Scotland and Spain and are now a force to be reckoned with. Blacklock has been particularly impressive and forms a formidable partnership with Lisa Martin in the midfield.

"This is the first of four really tough games for us leading up to Xmas, we are hoping to pick up from where we left off against Saracens with a strong squad performance and build from there.”
