The first-ever professional contracts for women have been announced by the Welsh Rugby Union with Gloucester-Hartpury’s Hannah Jones one of 12 players to have been given the honour of becoming the first cohort of players to sign pro deals with the WRU.
The Cherry and White centre has Wales 32 caps to her name and has taken a break from her PGCE studies at Cardiff Met to take up this opportunity.
“It’s an honour to be able to take up this contract, there will be more time for skills, fitness, analysis and recovery. I’m really excited to get going and see how far we can go individually and as a team.”
