Gloucester Rugby Foundation - Veteran’s Group to begin 26th of February
Gloucester Rugby Foundation are excited to announce the introduction of a well-being & activity programme for Armed Forces Veterans.

The group will begin on 26 February, 1pm – 2pm in the Lion’s Den at Gloucester Rugby, where an informal coffee afternoon will take place.

These sessions are open to current and retired members from any Armed Forces services.

The project aims to boost physical & mental wellbeing, tackle loneliness and isolation, and fundamentally support participants to re-connect with old acquaintances and build new friendships.

The vision of the group is to increase opportunities for Veteran’s from the Gloucestershire area to be involved in low impact physical activity & group based reminiscence sessions.

Alongside benefiting overall better health and wellbeing, the purpose of the group is to encourage social activity, develop resilience as well as improve self confidence and self-esteem.

An evening a weekly session will also be introduced in the near future.
