Gloucester Rugby name side for Saturday’s Premiership away game at Wasps
Lloyd Evans will make his first Gallagher Premiership start of the season as Gloucester Rugby make four changes to their starting line-up for Saturday’s trip to play Wasps at the Ricoh Arena.

Evans has worn the number ten shirt in both the Premiership Rugby Cup and Heineken Champions Cup so far this season and featured in the club's last two Premiership outings.

Evans’ inclusion, with Danny Cipriani named amongst the replacements, is one of four changes to the Gloucester Rugby team that started against Sale Sharks last Friday. The other change in the backs sees Louis Rees-Zammit return on the wing.

Up front, Alex Craig comes into the second row for Ed Slater who is named amongst the replacements and Lewis Ludlow is named at openside flanker with Ruan Ackermann moving across to number eight.

Previewing the fixture this week, Head Coach Johan Ackermann acknowledged that Wasps have performed well recently following a change in their coaching set-up.

“They’ve had a change of voice and maybe a few strategies, their players obviously seem a bit happier. But, ultimately, it’s the results that count and they’ve had two good victories and will be a confident side.

“If you look at the team that they can put out, they’ve always had the talent. So, it’s going to be a massive challenge, much bigger than when we played them earlier in the season.

“They want to keep their momentum and we desperately want to change ours and get a victory. They’re two teams that are going to fight for very scrap.”
