George Skivington has picked his side for Gloucester Rugby’s Round 10 fixture against Bristol Bears on Friday evening.

Freddie Clarke is set to make his 100th Cherry and White appearance and will continue his run of games playing at second row.

There are seven changes to the starting line-up that defeated Wasps 35-33 last time out with Chris Harris and Louis Rees-Zammit both returning to the line-up.

In the backs, Lloyd Evans will start at fullback with Louis Rees-Zammit and Ollie Thorley on the wings. Mark Atkinson will start at inside centre with Harris coming back into the side to start at 13. Adam Hastings and Ben Meehan continue their partnership at halfback.

In the forwards, there is consistency in the front row with Val Rapava-Ruskin, Jack Singleton and Kirill Gotovtsev packing down with Clarke and Matias Alemanno behind them starting at lock.

The backrow is made up of Ruan Ackermann, Ben Morgan and Lewis Ludlow, who will captain the side.

There is a strong bench with Santiago Socino, Harry Elrington, Jamal Ford-Robinson, Andrew Davidson and Jordy Reid the forward replacements and Charlie Chapman, Billy Twelvetrees and Kyle Moyle covering the backs.

George Skivington is expecting a tough test against Bristol.

“We’re looking forward to coming to Kingsholm and getting everyone in. Friday nights are great fun and I’m really looking forward to it.

“Bristol pose a massive challenge and they play some seriously exciting rugby. Pat (Lam) is a quality coach and the systems that he’s got in place have been proven to work time and time again. They are a threat from everywhere on the field. Combine that with a really strong set piece, they are very very dangerous. We’re fully respectful of what’s coming and what Bristol are capable of but ultimately we’re looking forward to coming back to Kingsholm and hopefully having a good day here.”
