George Skivington has named his match-day squad for the upcoming fixture against London Irish this Saturday.
Georgian international Giorgi Kveseladze has made an impact in training and is set to make his Gloucester Rugby debut from the bench.
The back three is unchanged with Jason Woodward starting at fullback, Ollie Thorley on the left wing and Santiago Carreras, who passed the return to play protocols after his collision with George Furbank last time out, on the right wing.
Henry Trinder returns to the starting side at outside centre and will link up with Mark Atkinson who starts at 12.
With Lloyd Evans unavailable through injury, Billy Twelvetrees has been handed the 10 shirt and is joined by Willi Heinz at halfback who makes his second start since returning from injury.
In the forwards, Jamal Ford-Robinson, Henry Walker and Ciaran Knight make up the front row with Alex Craig and Matias Alemanno behind them at lock.
The backrow is unchanged with Jordy Reid at blindside flanker, Ruan Ackermann at No.8 and Lewis Ludlow, who resumes the captaincy, at openside.
A handful of players are away on Six Nations duty with Jonny May starting for England, Chris Harris starting for Scotland, Steven Varney starting for Italy and Louis Rees-Zammit starting for Wales.
George Skivington knows that it will be a tough test against his former club and believes that sticking to the process will be key:
“We’ve stripped everything back and have made some massive changes in the background. The squad is very different to what it’s been previously and we’re working extremely hard to pull it all together and make strives that we think will be sustainable and successful in the future. Nobody could be working any harder or be more focused. These things take time."
