George Skivington has named a 31-man travelling squad to face Ealing Trailfinders on Saturday 28 August in Gloucester Rugby's first pre-season fixture of the season.
With a good mixture of senior and academy players involved, the Cherry and Whites are looking to get some good game time under their belt as they continue their pre-season programme and prepare for the start of the competitive season.
With a big squad, the coaches will be looking to rotate players and try out new combinations as well as expose some of the new recruits to see how they perform in a match environment.
Ahead of the fixture George Skivington said:
"We're taking a lot of numbers with us so there will be a lot of changes. We want to give exposure to lads across the board so there will be a bit of chopping and changing throughout the game.
"It's exciting for us because we've worked with the new rules and we've put together what we think will be the best ways to maximise them. We don't know what Ealing have planned and at the end of the day you don't know how these things will come off until you have some live, unpredictable opposition.
"The boys have worked unbelievably hard the last five weeks and they've been going at each other the whole time. We're in a good spot to get a bit of competition under our belt and see where we're at."
