The 2020/21 season held significant challenges for Gloucester Rugby, with the impact of COVID-19 across the season.
We were very grateful for the continued support of our Club partners, Club members, supporters, players and staff.
Due to a £3.7m increase in the value of its shares in Premiership Rugby, the Club showed a nominal accounting profit for the year of £141k.
As a result of the impact of COVID-19, however, there was a decline in turnover from £15.6m in 19/20 to £10.8m, and an operating loss of £2.7m (19/20 - £1.1m).
During the year, the club was extended a loan facility by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, under the Sports Winter Survival Package. This, combined with a healthy balance sheet, has allowed the Club to be optimistic for the future.
