George Skivington has named his side for Gloucester Rugby’s opening Premiership Rugby Cup game against Bath on Friday night.
With a blend of youth and experience, the Cherry and Whites have named a strong side as the squad returns to playing after a week without a fixture.
There are eight changes to the starting line up that faced Exeter Chiefs last time out with 12 of the 23 coming from the Gloucester Rugby Academy.
In the forwards, Harry Elrington and Santiago Socino start in the front row with Fraser Balmain keeping his starting shirt at tighthead.
The rest of the pack remains unchanged with Andrew Davidson and Freddie Clarke in the second row and Ruan Ackermann, Ben Morgan and Lewis Ludlow making up the backrow.
In the backs, Billy Twelvetrees keeps his 12 shirt with Charlie Chapman and Lloyd Evans starting at halfback.
Tom Seabrook comes in at outside centre with Jake Morris and Alex Morgan on the wings with Kyle Moyle returning to the side at fullback.
Gloucester Rugby have eight players currently away on international duty with Mark Atkinson, Jonny May, Louis Rees-Zammit, Chris Harris, Adam Hastings, Stephen Varney, Kirill Gotovtsev and Giorgi Kveseladze all representing their countries.
George Skivington is looking forward to the West Country derby.
“I’m expecting them to come really hard. Gloucester vs Bath derbies, I know how much they mean around here and how feisty they are which I love. I fully expect them to be working really hard. I don’t think form up until this point will matter on Friday night. I think it will just be two teams tearing into each other so it should be a good spectacle for everyone that comes.”
