Gloucester Rugby stars help out with training at Fairford RFC
Danny Cipriani, Josh Hohneck and Owen Williams were the star guests at the final Fairford RFC training session of the season on Tuesday 14th May – in a visit arranged by club sponsors The Cullimore Group.

Cipriani, last week voted Players’ Player of the Year by the Rugby Players Association, was joined by New Zealander Hohneck and Welsh fly-half Williams as the top-flight trio took time out to coach at Fairford’s Coln House ground.

Fairford are on the up following a double-winning campaign; they secured promotion to Wadworth 6X Gloucester 1 and retained the Stroud Junior Cup for the third consecutive season.

Head Coach Danny Briggs commented:

“In what has been an outstanding season for the club, reaching Gloucester 1 for the first time, the opportunity to spend some time learning from Danny, Owen and Josh was invaluable. I would like to thank Moreton Cullimore for his continued support of Fairford RFC; his backing has been instrumental in the growth of the club on and off the field.”

He continued:

“As we prepare for life in Gloucester 1, playing clubs with rich history, we realise that every game will be tough and we will have to work hard to have success.

“We continue to recruit players to strengthen both our 1st and 2nd XV and we can promise an exciting ride both on the park and in the clubhouse.”
