“What a great day with some great wheelchair rugby talent on show!

"I am incredibly proud of the team and the way they performed, even with some challenges thrown towards us. Every one of them did both themselves and the badge proud.

"We look forward to working hard in training over the next two weeks before Round 2 which will be held at Stoke Mandeville on February 19."

Coach/Player Luke Wilson, couldn't fault the team's efforts.

“It was great to get back playing competitively again. We are a newly formed group with a lot of young talent so to win 3 out of 6 games was a positive start to the season.

"I can't fault the effort that was put in from each individual. Hopefully we can keep improving with each tournament throughout the season."
