Gloucester United team announced for Premiership Rugby Shield opener at home to Tigers
Gloucester United will kick off their 2019-20 Premiership Rugby Shield campaign with a home fixture against Leicester Tigers on Monday evening. Simon Linsell will skipper the side.

The side relies heavily on the Gloucester Rugby Academy, although many of the matchday 23 saw action in the Premiership Rugby Cup earlier this season.

There is a familiar looking front row as the former England U20 trio of Alex Seville, Henry Walker and Ciaran Knight pack down together. Linsell will partner Harry Butler in the second row while the back row of Josh Gray, Aaron Hinkley and Jack Clement have all seen first team action this season.

Likewise, the majority of the back line have featured in the first team this season with the exception of Jack Reeves who missed the Premiership Rugby Cup campaign due to injury.

Kick-off at Kingsholm is at 7:30pm. Entrance is free for Gloucester Rugby Club Members and for those who attend the Christmas tree switch on at 7pm and make a donation to our Community team who will be issuing tickets at the pedestrian gate. James Hanson and Owen Williams will be performing the switch on.

Otherwise, for those arriving after 7pm, general admission is £5 for adults and £1 for juniors.
