Gloucester United team named for Premiership Rugby Shield opener at The Stoop
Gloucester Rugby Head of Academy Richard Whiffin has named an exciting young Cherry and White squad for this evening’s Premiership Rugby Shield Round One clash with Harlequins at the Twickenham Stoop (KO 7:30pm)

The Cherry and White squad is an exciting mix of Academy players, and senior squad players looking to impress for first team selection.

The back three is made up of Academy trio with Reece Dunn at full back and Tom Seabrook and Jacob Morris on the wings. In midfield, Henry Purdy is joined by Jack Reeves, with Lloyd Evans and Charlie Chapman forming the half back partnership.

Up front, England U20 internationals Alex Seville and Henry Walker and joined by England U18 international Jack Bartlett, with Harry Butler and summer signing Gerbrandt Grobler in the second row.

The back row sees Will Safe, Aaron Hinkley and Gareth Evans link up in the opener to the competition that replaces the Premiership Rugby A League throughout the season.

Kick Off at the Twickenham Stoop is at 7:30pm this evening, and there will be live updates via @GloucesterRugby on Twitter.
