Gloucestershire Forwards March Newsletter

Gloucestershire Forwards March Newsletter
Dear Gloucestershire Forwards supporters,

We started 2020 with a ‘bang’ … New Year, new decade, new you with two exciting speakers –

Bill, Action Coach UK who talked us through a great ‘tool’ to help us focus on what we want to do in our jobs and our personal lives and Nikki, Hope for Tomorrow, which was a very humbling talk, and video. With cancer touching so many of us, the mobile unit helps so many people!

There were 69 number of people in the room and as always the atmosphere was buzzing and I hope more exciting connections were made and long term partnerships between the private sector and the local charities and communities.

The event raised £228 for Hope for Tomorrow and that will allow one full days use of the mobile scanner – thrilled!

The remaining charities to be supported (as voted by you):

Gloucester Rugby Foundation

Gloucestershire Deaf Association

Butterfly Garden

And the programme for the rest of the year (but may change) as follows:

Breakfast 31st March 2020

Breakfast 9th June 2020

A massive thank you to Joe Stallard, from Lodestar who has been a tireless volunteer, managing our social media, newsletters but due to pressure of work, he has had to stand down… so thank you Joe! We wouldn’t be where we are today without you!

Finally, a massive thank you  to our sponsors Gloucester Chamber, as up until now this has been run by volunteers and this sponsorship will enable us to do more.. so thank you!

One final please -  DO JOIN your local chamber/business group… the mission of the Assn. of Gloucestershire Business Groups, is to empower each of our towns, to bring people together – from Lydney to Tetbury, Winchcombe to Nailsworth…
