Gloucester Rugby host Sale Sharks in Round 4 of the Gallagher Premiership on Saturday. Ahead of the fixture, we caught up with Harry Elrington who talked about joining the Cherry and Whites, the win against Worcester and the upcoming game against Sale.
On joining Gloucester Rugby and completing the milk challenge
“I’m really enjoying it so far. The milk challenge was very tough! Stephen Varney helped me out a little bit with the timings!!
“I’m loving it so far. The facilities are amazing. It’s unreal and I’m loving it so far. Everyone’s been so welcoming.”
On the Worcester win
“We obviously had two disappointing results the two games before so getting the win was massive for us. We played well but there are a lot of improvements that we want to make but I think it was a good step in the right direction.”
The new training facilities
“Everyone’s loving it. We’ve got the bridge now which is the most important part! The bridge over to Kingsholm so we don’t have to walk around the front!!
“We were on the indoor pitch this morning and it’s just nice really to have a top-quality facility. Especially when it’s going to be raining, it’s going to be nice to be inside doing our lineouts!”
On Sale Sharks
“Sale pride themselves on their set piece and working hard in defence. We know how good they are, a top four side last year so it’s going to be a big test for us but we’re relishing it and we’ve been working hard to put things in place ready for Saturday.”
On playing at Kingsholm
“It was spine tingling running in front of the Shed. I’ve played here before, I made my debut for London Irish at Kingsholm so I was on the other end of it so to have that support this time was one of the proudest moments I’ve had so far in my career. I’m really looking forward to it happening again on Saturday.”
