Gloucester Rugby was well represented during the summer international period with four players representing their nations.
Argentina
Santiago Carreras and Matias Alemanno played key roles in Argentina’s 2-1 series win over Scotland. The two sides had each won one game going into the deciding test and Carreras helped his side to victory with a great try in the final fixture as the Pumas won 34-31.
Wales
Louis Rees-Zammit’s Wales side set up a deciding test after winning the second 13-12 against the reigning world champions. The winger had a good series after scoring two tries in the first test but unfortunately lost in the third game 30-14.
Georgia
Giorgi Kveseladze’s Georgia side recorded an historic 28-19 victory over Italy. Starting at centre, Kveseladze played a key role in the result which has led to many calling for Georgia to face more Tier 1 nations.
