Gloucester Rugby is delighted to announce that exciting youngster, Jack Clement, has signed a long-term contract with the Cherry & Whites.
The powerful back-rower made a number of impressive performances following the resumption of the 2019-20 Gallagher Premiership season, including his senior debut.
Clement, 19, first began his rugby journey at Cheltenham-based school Bournside, before going on to captain Cheltenham College. His raw-talent earned him a spot in the Gloucester Rugby Academy, where he has since gone on to represent England U18s in 2018.
Having burst onto the scene under George Skivington, Clement also caught the eye of England coach Eddie Jones, and was duly drafted into the senior training squad ahead of the Autumn internationals.
George Skivington was naturally delighted to see Jack step up into the senior set-up.
“Jack has been outstanding ever since I arrived at Gloucester. His enthusiasm and application in training has translated to the performances on the pitch, and I’m really excited to see him progress.
“He’s another impressive talent that’s come through the academy system which is really positive for the Club. He’s got a big few years ahead of him now to keep working hard to ensure that he continues to improve. “
