Gloucester Rugby is delighted to announce a new contract for Jamal Ford-Robinson.
The prop originally joined the Cherry & Whites ahead of the 2019-20 season and has made 28 appearances for Gloucester Rugby so far.
Ford-Robinson, 27, is a proven competitor in the front-row, and has the unique ability to cover both loosehead and tighthead effectively, as he has done during the 2020-21 campaign.
Off the field, Ford-Robinson won the first ever Gallagher Premiership Community Player of the Month award in 2020, after his efforts to keep spirits high during the first lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He donated his prize to the Gloucester Rugby Foundation and local NHS trust.
It comes as no surprise that Ford-Robinson’s services were highly sought after, but Head Coach George Skivington was pleased that the prop decided his future was best placed at Kingsholm.
“Jamal is an established force at Premiership level, and he’s offered us great stability on both sides of the scrum this season.
“He a powerful presence on the pitch, strong in the set-piece, but also good with the ball in hand too. I know he’s really enjoying his time at Kingsholm, and we’re looking forward to him kicking on with us and being a solid part of the future here.”
