Jonny May is set to make his 150th Gloucester Rugby appearance this weekend when the Cherry and Whites travel to Sale Sharks in the Gallagher Premiership.
The Gloucester Rugby Academy graduate initially played 138 times for the club between 2009 and 2017 and scored 62 tries, quickly becoming a fan favourite at Kingsholm.
After a brief spell at Leicester Tigers, the flying winger returned home to Gloucester Rugby in 2020 and has continues to show his world class ability each time he pulls on the Cherry and White shirt.
An established international, May is an innate finisher and is England’s second highest try scorer with 33 tries in 66 caps showing just how threatening he is whenever he has the ball in hand.
Some of May’s highlights from his time at Gloucester Rugby include a stunning solo effort try against Harlequins from the 2011/12 season which was awarded try of the season at the Premiership awards in the same campaign that May was awarded Gloucester Rugby’s young player of the year.
More recently, May has continued to impress for Gloucester Rugby getting over the try line against Newcastle Falcons and threatens defences in every game he plays.
Making 150 appearances for the Cherry and Whites puts Jonny May in an elite group and we look forward to celebrating his achievement at Kingsholm with you all before too long.
