Straight after kick off there was a big charge down from the London Irish, following this there was a line out at the metre line. Gloucester then conceded a penalty to the London Irish with a kick too touch. great defence from Gloucester as the Irish spent 3 minutes at the Gloucester 5 metre line as they couldn’t break their defence and turned over to the Cherry and Whites with a forward pass. A free kick against the London Irish at the scrum which allowed Gloucester to clear their line, kicked to touch by Gloucester.
Following the line out there was a big break from the London Irish. a penalty was conceded to the Irish for a non handed tackle. the ball was held up after a 13 man maul. The Cherry and Whites haven’t made it out of their half for 10 minutes. London Irish have seemed to control the game so far. a big break from Gloucester pushed the Irish back into their half. London Irish then conceded a penalty to Gloucester they were made to go back a further ten for chat against the referee. the London Irish were pushed onto their 5 metre line. another penalty was awarded on the 12, Gloucester score a try by number 8 Ruan Ackerman 15 minutes into the game. The conversation was made by Evans making the score 7:0.
A big break was made by Gloucester. London Irish were penalised shortly after for being off their feet. London Irish struggle to get of there 5 meter, Gloucester were soon penalised for not releasing the ball. the ball was soon recovered by the cherry and whites. an 80 yard break was made by the London Irish then knocked on turning the ball back over to Gloucester. allowing the cherry and whites too push the Irish back into their half. Gloucester almost score but no try was given.
A low kick off from Gloucester saw London Irish stay in Gloucester's half the ball was shortly knocked on by the centre. Try scored by Olly Thorley after a well worked back move from the line out. with out much possession from Gloucester they made it well worth it once in the London Irish 22. The conversion was made putting Gloucester up 14:0. A penalty advantage was given to Irish following the try and a huge defensive drive was made by Gloucester followed by the TMO for a possible try under the post with the try given to number 8, Jackson. The conversion is was made pushing the score to 14:7. The ball was played along the 5 yard and knocked forward by London Irish a scrum was given at the Irish 5 metre line. Gloucester was penalised for collapsing the scrum. London Irish try to kick for touch but unfortunately their players were offside awarding a penalty to Gloucester the penalty was scored by Adam Hastings, making the score 17:7 to Gloucester. another penalty was given to Gloucester it was kicked to touch and there was another big break from Gloucester. Shortly another penalty was given to Gloucester it was kicked to touch again. Another try was scored by Ruan Ackermann in the final 10 second of the game and the conversion was made with the final score of 24:7 to Gloucester.
