Kevin Mannion nominated in the 2019 Local Business Charity Awards (Gloucestershire)
Everyone at Gloucester Rugby is delighted that Academy Performance Manager Kevin Mannion has been nominated for an Individual Award in the 2019 Local Business Charity Awards (Gloucestershire).

The awards, launched in 2014 to recognise the support given by businesses to local Gloucestershire charities, are supported by insurance specialists Jelf and Ageas Insurance.

The charities who nominated the winners of the Jelf and Ageas awards will each receive a donation of £1,000.

The winner of the Individual award will win a weekend away to the value of £300.

Finalists will be invited, along with the charity that nominated them, to the award finals on Thursday September 19 at the Tithe Barn in Bishop's Cleeve.

In addition to his main role at the club, Kevin has been tireless in his efforts over the past few seasons working with local charities such as the Gloucester City Mission.

Alongside members of the Gloucester Rugby Academy, who are involved to develop them as individuals as well as players, Kevin has been the driving force behind initiatives such as sleep outs to highlight the plight of the homeless as well as serving them hot meals.

His work has already been acknowledged at club level when he was presented with the Chairman’s Award by Martin St Quinton at the club’s End of Season Awards dinner in 2018 for his selfless work in organising the squad’s time with local charities and helping the homeless community.
