Venue – Brentford Community Stadium
VS – London Irish
Kick off – Sunday 17 October, 3:00pm
Lewis Ludlow will captain Gloucester Rugby in his 150th appearance for the club as the Cherry and Whites travel to London Irish for Round 5 of the Gallagher Premiership.
George Skivington has made three changes to the starting 15 that beat Sale Sharks last time out with Santiago Carreras, Matias Alemanno and Val Rapava-Ruskin all starting.
Carreras will start at fullback in a back three made up of international talent with Louis Rees-Zammit and Jonny May starting on the wings.
Chris Harris and Mark Atkinson continue their partnership in the midfield with Adam Hastings and Ben Meehan also retaining their starting shirts at halfback.
In the forwards, Rapava-Ruskin packs down with Jack Singleton and Kirill Gotovtsev in the front row with Matias Alemanno coming in to partner Freddie Clarke at lock.
The backrow is unchanged with Ruan Ackermann at flanker, Ben Morgan at No.8 and Lewis Ludlow resuming the captaincy at openside.
George Skivington is looking forward to the away trip to London Irish.
“Irish are littered with internationals in their squad, and they’ve probably got more test caps in their starting 15 than any other Premiership side. There are a lot of quality players who can do quality things in the game and score tries out of nothing.
“We know there are a lot of threats across the board. They’ve fallen short by a score in most of their games so they will be desperate to win and we know the quality that is there so we are preparing as best we can for that."
