Gloucester Rugby supporters have voted Club Captain, Lewis Ludlow as their Stowford Press Player of the Season.
Academy graduate Ludlow was named the new Club Captain by Head Coach George Skivington at the start of the 2020-21 season, and the flanker has stepped up to the mark, leading his side admirably this season.
Appearing in all but 2 games this season, Ludlow has been ever-present leading the Cherry & Whites. His boundless energy in defence saw the 26-year-old notch up 280 tackles across the Gallagher Premiership season.
It’s fair to say that Ludlow’s passion and enthusiasm for Gloucester Rugby off the field translated seamlessly onto the field this year, earning the admiration from supporters to vote him as their Player of the Season.
George Skivington is proud of his Captain.
“Luds has worked tirelessly all year, both to be the best he can be on the field, but also to lead the team to the best of his ability as well. He’s extremely selfless and leaves everything out there for the good of the team.
“I think everyone can now see exactly why we selected Lewis to lead this group, his work-ethic and determination never faulters whether he’s on the training field or in the heat of the battle. Naturally we’re all delighted for him that the supporters of this great Club have selected him as their player of the season.”
