Ludlow to captain United side in Premiership Rugby Shield return at Clifton RFC.
Back rower Lewis Ludlow will captain a young Cherry and White side on Monday evening, as they look for a strong showing as Gloucester United  take on Bristol Bears ‘A’, as the Premiership Rugby Shield returns. (KO 7.45pm)

Ludlow is joined in the back row by Aaron Hinkley and Gareth Evans, with the former returning from a strong showing on England U20 duty in recent weeks.

Up front, the experienced Kyle Traynor starts alongside Gareth Denman and Henry Walker, with Tom Savage and Harry Butler forming the lock partnership.

Behind the scrum, Charlie Chapman and Dom Coetzer are at half back, with Jacob Morris,  Alex Morgan and Reece Dunn forming the back three. The midfield sees Henry Purdy and Jack Reeves link-up.

Amongst the replacements, there’s a return for Tom Stanton for the first time this season after injury.

Kick off at Clifton RFC is 7.45pm, and there will be live score updates via Twitter.

United have two remaining regular season Shield games remaining, taking on Bath (A) next Monday at The Rec (7.45pm KO) before ending their season at Kingsholm, with Harlequins the visitors on 22 April (7.45pm KO).
