Gloucester-Hartpury is delighted to announce that Red Rose Sarah Beckett has joined the Club from Harlequins.
The back-rower is the latest England international to join the Cherry and Whites and is set to really strengthen Sean Lynn’s squad.
The Red Roses star made her England debut in November 2018, starting in the 57-5 defeat of USA Women at Allianz Park. Sarah went on to feature in every Six Nations game that year as England won the Grand Slam. Since then, Beckett has gone on to win 24 caps for her country, and will be vying for a place in the squad for the 2022 World Cup later this year.
Beckett is a familiar name at the Cherry & Whites, with Sarah's brother Charlie, now of Ampthill, playing for the men's side as recently as 2020.
Head Coach Sean Lynn is thrilled to have further strengthened his squad with another sprinkling of stardust.
“Sarah is one of the best players in the world and has played a significant role in the Red Roses’ success in recent years.
“She is a massive signing for us and we are all really excited to see her play for us.”
Welcome to the Club, Sarah!
