Backs Coach Tim Taylor was full of praise for the side's battling spirit as they edged Northampton Saints in a narrow Premiership Rugby Cup clash at a sodden Kingsholm Stadium. 

Despite the conditions, the two teams served up an entertaining game, with Gerbrandt Grobler's last gasp try, coupled with Billy Twelvetrees' conversion winning it for the home side.
