Under 18s team named for top of the table clash with Harlequins
Gloucester Rugby U18s continue to expose more promising young players to Academy league rugby this week, after naming their squad to take on Harlequins, in a top of the table Southern Conference clash in the Premiership Rugby Academy League at Hartpury College (KO 1pm)

The previous two years have seen fascinating clashes with Harlequins, with last years game seeing the lead change hands four times in the final quarter hour.

After this fixture, there is a two-week break ahead of a return to action at London Irish.

This week, Louis Rees-Zammit, who made his first team debut in the Premiership Rugby Cup in October, comes into the midfield for Isaac Marsh, and Tommy Mathews comes into the fly half jersey.

Up front, Harry Taylor comes in to partner captain Joe Howard, and Jack Clement.

Junior Academy Manager Alex Guest commented “a tight fixture against bath has really pushed the intensity of training this week. A couple of changes to give players opportunities shows the quality and depth of talent within the group.

“We’re really looking forward to this fixture as they’re always good games against Harlequins.”
