Women’s International Round Up | England, Wales and USA

Gloucester-Hartpury Women had plenty of international representation last weekend with players called up for England, Wales and the USA.

Zoe Aldcroft put in an 80-minute performance as the Red Roses defeated New Zealand for the second time in two weeks.

England beat the Black Ferns 56-15 at the cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens, the first time England have secured back-to-back wins over New Zealand since 2012, and stretches their unbeaten run to 16 matches.

Seven Gloucester-Hartpury players were selected for Wales as the Welsh claimed a comfortable 23-5 victory over Japan at Cardiff Arms Park.

Hannah Jones, Kerin Lake, Gwen Crabb, Bethan Lewis, Cara Hope, Cerys Hale and Robyn Wilkins all put in a huge performance against Japan in their opening game of the autumn and move into South Africa next week with plenty of positives.

Kristine Sommers started at second row in the USA’s close fought 23-13 loss to Canada in the finale of the Pacific Four Regional Series -- their final home test.
