World Cup returnees are settling in at Gloucester Rugby well says Ackermann
Gloucester Rugby were able to welcome Callum Braley, Chris Harris and Jake Polledri to training last week after their participation in the Rugby World Cup and Head Coach Johan Ackermann said this week that all three have adapted quickly.

For Braley and Polledri, who were both representing Italy in Japan, it was a course a return to the club where they’ve spent the past few seasons. However, for Harris, it’s been a change of scenery over the summer, swapping Newcastle for Gloucester.

However, speaking this week at the club’s midweek media session, Head Coach Johan Ackermann said it hopefully won’t be too long before Gloucester Rugby fans see the talented centre in action.

“Callum and Jake obviously have the advantage when it comes to detail. They’ve both played here now for a few years and they know the players, the calls etc.

“It’ll take a little bit longer for Chris, but we feel that he’s an extremely good player and has adapted really well as a person and as a character.

“He’s very close. It may be this weekend that we try and involve him and get him involved with the team. I think that’s the quickest way sometimes.

“He’s been here a week now, learning all the calls and he was a part of things last Saturday, taking part in the warm-ups and getting a feel for what we’re doing on a matchday. So, I think the time has almost come to make use of him.”
