Former players from Gloucester Rugby and Bath Rugby took to the fairways recently for a golf day held at Stinchcombe Golf Club.

Led by Club President Fred Reed, it was the Cherry and White contingent who emerged triumphant on the day, winning a hard-fought encounter by three and a half points to two and a half.

According to Fred, who finished second in the individual standings behind Mike Beese, the former Bath and international centre, it was a great day, lots of fun and a very good win.

Gloucester Rugby’s team was as follows:

Fred Reed, Bob Clewes, Tony Parsloe, Bob Timms, Charlie Wheatman, Keith Richardson, John Horner, John Roberts, Mike Bailey, Glyn Mann, Kevin Dunn, Dave Pegler.
