Team News

George Skivington has made just one change to the starting side that defeated Benetton 54-25 last time out as Gloucester Rugby travel to the Rec for the West Country Derby on Boxing Day.

Mark Atkinson returns at inside centre and will line up with Chris Harris in the midfield. Lloyd Evans keeps his place at fullback with Jonny May and Louis Rees-Zammit on the wings.

Continuing their partnership at halfback is Ben Meehan and Adam Hastings.

In the forwards, Val Rapava-Ruskin, Jack Singleton and Kirill Gotovtsev make up the front row with Freddie Clarke and Matias Alemanno in the second row.

Jordy Reid, Ruan Ackermann and captain, Lewis Ludlow, make up the backrow.

There is a strong bench of replacements with Santiago Socino, Jamal Ford-Robinson, Fraser Balmain, Andrew Davidson and Jack Clement covering the forwards. Charlie Chapman, Billy Twelvetrees and Santiago Carreras are the back replacements.

George Skivington is looking forward to the Boxing Day fixture.

“If there was one game that Bath would want to win, it would be us at their place. We know that and we know that they will be extremely fired up. It’ll be good to get there in front of a full crowd and just enjoy a good game of rugby on Boxing Day.”
