Thank you to our fans as Be Kind initiative raises £11,000
Gloucester Rugby’s recent Gallagher Premiership fixture at home to Sale Sharks was designated to Mental Health Awareness. And we’re delighted to confirm that a significant sum of money was raised for Gloucester & District Samaritans.

Donations were made in a variety of ways. Following the announcement of the initiative, the club donated £5 from every ticket sold for the match using a bespoke promotional page. Supporters were also able to donate via a Virgin Money giving link, and a bucket collection took place at the stadium on the evening.

And one incredibly generous individual donated £50 per point scored by Gloucester Rugby on the night as well as purchasing a signed number 10 shirt.

Gloucester Rugby CEO Lance Bradley today paid tribute to the club’s supporters for the way they got behind the initiative.

“I would like to thank everybody who made a donation or supported the initiative in some other way. It’s a terrific outcome and we’re delighted to be able to make such a sizeable donation to Gloucester & District Samaritans.

“However, it wasn’t just about the money. We were looking to raise awareness of the importance of Mental Health and try and make a positive out of a very sad situation. I’d like to think we’ve made a good start, but the work will continue.”
